About

The Act for Change Fund ran between 2018 and 2022. The fund was a joint initiative between Paul Hamlyn Foundation and Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, in partnership with The National Lottery Community Fund, with both foundations acting as match funders and awarding grants on behalf of the #iwill Fund.

The Act for Change Fund supported young people with experience of disadvantage to shape the world around them, with the aim to create a more diverse group of social, cultural and political leaders for the future. The fund provided resources to help young people communicate the issues they experience, challenge social injustice, and to find ways of overcoming inequality.

In total, 32 organisations were supported by the Act for Change Fund. You can find out more about these organisations and how they were supported by the Fund in our grants database.

The #iwill Fund exists thanks to a £50 million joint investment from The National Lottery Community Fund and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) to provide young people with high quality social action opportunities.
