Local Trust aims to inspire and motivate people to get involved and lead change in their communities. They primarily do this through Big Local, which supports people in 150 places to make a difference to the things that matter most to them in their community. This grant supports Local Trust to campaign for the government to establish a Community Wealth Fund (CWF) for areas experiencing economic marginalisation that will rebuild social infrastructure in the country’s most marginalised communities.

Culture Counts is a network of arts, heritage and creative industries organisations in Scotland. They work to protect and develop the culture sector for the common good. This grant supports the development of a co-learning network for equality, diversity and inclusion in the arts, heritage, screen and creative industries alongside work on place and cultural democracy, working to establish how to better connect local planning to arts and culture.

The Chartered College of Teaching is the professional body for teachers. They celebrate teachers and connect their network of over 45,000 members, reaching 3.4 million pupils in the UK. They provide a wealth of resources and insight, bridging the gap between practice and research, and equipping members with the knowledge and confidence to provide the best possible education for children and young people.

The All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Creative Diversity is a cross-party group in UK Parliament established to bring together policymakers, industry and academia to identify and tackle obstacles to diversity in the creative sector. This grant supports the APPG in their project Pathways Through Creative Education which seeks to understand ​‘what works’ in supporting diversity in creative education and talent pipelines, with a focus on support for those aged 16 and over. Research will include an examination of formal tertiary education and programmes operating outside of formal education settings.

Sheba Arts is a female and diverse-led company responding to the challenges of misrepresentation, or lack of representation, of communities in arts and culture. They support local communities, including those who have migrated or are seeking asylum, through artistic projects across Greater Manchester. This grant provides core support to aid the organisation in dealing with the challenges posed by Covid-19.

SBC (Stand and Be Counted) Theatre is the UK’s first Theatre Company of Sanctuary. They are committed to making work with and for refugees, asylum seekers and new migrants, through the co-creation of small to mid-scale contemporary theatre, large-scale community performances, learning and social programmes, and interactive films. This grant provides core support to aid the organisation in dealing with the challenges posed by Covid-19.

Safer London is a leading charity working to prevent violence, sexual exploitation and vulnerability amongst young people across London. This grant provides core support for Safer London to respond to increased demand for services in post lockdown re-opening, including referrals for one-to-one support and demand for training from professional partners including the NHS, Department for Work and Pensions, and the Metropolitan Police.

Kanlungan Filipino Consortium is a registered charity consisting of several Filipino community organisations working together for the welfare and interests of the Filipino and other migrant communities in Britain. They aim to advance education and training of Filipinos and Southeast and East Asian migrants, promote economic welfare, raise awareness of the socio-economic, political and cultural conditions within the Philippines which engender forced migration, and build solidarity with other migrant organisations. This grant provides core support to aid the organisation in dealing with the challenges posed by Covid-19.

Dance United Yorkshire provides creative development opportunities for marginalised young people and communities through the provision of contemporary dance training and performance. This grant provides core support to aid the organisation in dealing with the challenges posed by Covid-19.

The Centre for Cultural Value is a national research centre based at the University of Leeds. They work alongside cultural practitioners and organisations, academics, funders and policymakers to make relevant research more accessible, support the cultural sector to develop evaluation skills, convene discussions around questions of cultural value, shape policy development and fund research partnerships. This grant provides core support to increase the capacity of the Centre’s Director. The organisation will be able to maintain their public programme of activity as they move from large scale study of the Covid impact on the cultural sector to their next research phase.

The Campaign for Freedom of Information (CFOI) promote and defend freedom of information in the UK. They played a leading role in the introduction of the Freedom of Information Act in 2000 and continue to successfully defend it from restrictions proposed by governments since. They seek to improve and defend freedom of information in support of a more vibrant and open democracy through campaigns, advice and training. This grant provides core support to aid the organisation in dealing with the challenges posed by Covid-19.
