London Sinfonietta commissions, curates and performs new music working with worldclass composers and musicians to challenge, educate and inspire. This grant provides support to aid the organisation in dealing with the challenges posed by Covid-19.

The London Community Response Fund is a coordinated funding pot between 67 London funders working together to support groups responding to the needs of communities in the capital affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. This grant is Paul Hamlyn Foundation’s contribution as one of the 67 funders.

LocalMotion brings together six communities and five major funding organisations to support community led action. They are reimagining how communities, funders, and systems can work together more equitably, more effectively, and more inclusively—for everyone. 

They believe that with imagination, courage and deep collaboration, lasting change that tackles the root causes of social, environmental and economic injustice is not only possible – it is already happening. Together they create spaces and networks for connection and collaboration that create powerful, lasting change in how things are done. Bringing resources and decision making into local hands, where they believe that real change happens.

LocalMotion works in six places— Torbay, Oldham, Middlesbrough, Lincoln, Enfield and Carmarthen —where communities are building on local strengths, imagining new futures and leading change that lasts. 

The five funding partners are City Bridge Foundation, Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, Lankelly Chase Foundation, Lloyds Bank Foundation for England and Wales, and Paul Hamlyn Foundation.

Together they are building a social, economic, and environmental justice movement. By communities, for communities.

Liberty is an independent organisation that campaigns for civil liberties and human rights in the UK. This grant provides support to aid the organisation in dealing with the challenges posed by Covid-19.

Leap Confronting Conflict empowers vulnerable young people to make changes in their lives by supporting them to gain a greater understanding of themselves and their relationship with conflict. This grant provides support to aid the organisation in dealing with the challenges posed by Covid-19.

Leaders Unlocked is a social enterprise, which enables underrepresented young people to work in partnership with organisations to shape decision making and have a say on the issues that affect their lives. This grant provides support to aid the organisation in dealing with the challenges posed by Covid-19.

Launch It is a group of charities operating under the London Youth Support Trust. Launch It aims to change lives through enterprise and break down the barriers for young entrepreneurs with experience of disadvantage. This grant provides support to aid the organisation in dealing with the challenges posed by Covid-19.

Khulisa is a charity working nationwide, supporting young people to transform their lives by enabling them to break the cycle of exclusion and crime. This grant supports Khulisa to respond to the surge in demand from current and new partner schools, prisons and local authorities, through digital therapy programmes and resources. Through this work they will support vulnerable young people as well as the wellbeing and resilience of staff.

Just Fair advocates for and monitors the protection of economic and social rights in the UK. This grant provides support to aid the organisation in dealing with the challenges posed by Covid-19.

The Isle of Wight Youth Trust provides counselling and programmes focusing on mental health and youth advocacy. This grant provides support to aid the organisation in dealing with the challenges posed by Covid-19.

Institute for Voluntary Action is an independent charity that works closely with people and organisations striving for social change. This grant provides support to aid the organisation in dealing with the challenges posed by Covid-19.

The Institute for Community Research and Development (ICRD) works with and in local communities to deliver effective community-based transformational projects, drives policy developments, and promote social mobility. This grant provides support to aid the organisation in dealing with the challenges posed by Covid-19.
