James has been Co-Director of Artangel with Michael Morris since 1991, ‘producing extraordinary art in unexpected places in London, across the UK and around the world’. He has also curated a number of exhibitions for arts institutions internationally. He is a Trustee of The Art Fund and is an advisor to the Oslo Biennale in 2016, 176 / Zabludowicz Collection programme, the London Design Festival and Fondazione Ratti in Como.
