Strategic Interventions Fund

The aim of this fund is to support interventions in any area of interest within the Foundation’s mission and strategic priorities, but that may fall outside of the grant programmes as we have currently designed them, or sit across a number of priorities. It reflects our wish to remain flexible and able to respond to the world as it changes.

We know that the world is changing, Our response needs to be flexible and must adapt to new needs as they emerge.

From time to time, through Board discussion about emerging learning from other work that we fund, or through the identification of external trends that are having an impact on the organisations we work with, we chose to support a small number of exemplary organisations, projects and ideas. This fund is by invitation only and its purpose is to roll out excellence, increase impact and help policy and practice by investing in new innovations.

Of course, funders can offer broader strategic support can be monetary and non-monetary. As well as traditional grant funding, we work with others to achieve social change, using and networks and influence to advocate on policy and offering our oversight or brokering the expertise of others to address intractable problems.
