Person Profile

Islam Fessih

Islam is a new Advisor on the Youth and Migration Grants Panel. He works as a data analyst for one of London’s largest PR agencies, and has been a Young Advisor since the age of 14, to help provide a voice for the problems he felt his generation faced in his borough. In Waltham Forest, he works closely with police and young people to enhance community safety. A lot of his work involves delivering peer to peer workshops in schools, colleges, and even training new police recruits in his borough. The impact he’s had on his borough has led him to deliver speeches in parliament and City Hall where his team has been recognised for the work they do. His entrepreneurial mindset led him to start his own e-commerce at the age of 18 which he’s been running on a part-time basis alongside a group of other young entrepreneurs.
