Charles Leadbeater

Charles is an independent author and a leading authority on innovation and creativity. He has advised companies, cities and governments around the world on innovation strategy and in 2005 was ranked by Accenture as one of the top management thinkers in the world. Previously an associate editor of the Independent, he wrote the first British report on the rise of social entrepreneurship, and his report on the potential for the web to generate social change led to the creation of the Social Innovation Camp movement. A graduate of Balliol College, Oxford, Charles has worked extensively as a senior adviser to governments and spent ten years working for the Financial Times, moving to the Independent in 1994.
