About the initiative
In May 2013, as part of PHF’s 25th anniversary gifts, we announced the Paul Hamlyn Club Awards, totalling £2.5m, to be shared among five performing arts venues across the UK. They have been awarded £500,000 over five years to allow them to make significant progress in their work to attract and build relationships with audiences from disadvantaged groups within their local communities.

Over the five years of these awards, it is hoped that these venues will develop models that have a long-term impact on diversifying audiences and sustaining involvement and interest. Each organisation is creating their own scheme, tailored to local needs, and building on the strengths of their work to date. We are working with them to ensure that they can share learning as the Awards progress.
