Based on the success of Musical Futures, Learning Futures invites secondary schools to develop and test new models of pedagogical practice that better meet the needs and aspirations of teachers and young people in the 21st Century. We are working in close partnership with the Innovation Unit to develop and take forward this initiative.
We have received enthusiastic support from schools, headteachers, key national education agencies and leading thinkers within education for the ideas that have emerged and the potential for Learning Futures to act as a significant catalyst for change.
The deadline for first stage applications was 2 March 2009, therefore the call for proposals is now closed.
Unsuccessful applicants will be eligible to apply for a potential second phase of Learning Futures (commencing in 2010, subject to the approval of the PHF Board).
